Commonscape is a youth hub located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, designed to serve teens ages 12–18 with spaces for learning, gathering, and rest. The project brings together classrooms, dormitories, a theater/cafeteria, and open communal areas, all connected by a protective skyway that weaves across the site. Responding to the region’s harsh winters and transit gaps, Commonscape creates a safe, accessible place where young people can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within an architecture that reflects care, structure, and belonging.
